These critters love it when it's quiet. When children are working quietly they come out and sit on their owners desks but if it gets too noisy, they quickly leave again! Get the children to make these and give them a personality... brilliantly engaging classroom management!
A brilliant ice breaker activity. Children walk around the classroom chatting to their friends and trying to find someone who meets the criteria on the cloud. When they find them, get their signature!
When we do whole class reading, each pair of children has a role. This keeps everyone engaged and gives us the opportunity to dive really deep into the text. Each pair will have one of these bookmarks to remind them of their role. We will circulate the roles every time we read!
SELF-Check XTables
This is such a simple idea, but it allows children to practise and reinforce all their xtables independently. Ramp it up by playing the game in pairs and timing each other!
This little book is to support those children who find it tricky to get organised at the end of the day. Just print the pages back to back, add velcro and off you go!
This is a great way to celebrate the children's successes with parents. When children are proud of their work, they can peg a camera and then we can take a photo to send home!
30 Early finisher cards. I've tried to make these linked to every day skills so the time is still purposeful as well as fun. I've designed these for Year 3 but I think most of the tasks are open enough they could be used by any year group.
This is a fab way to engage children in their reading and start conversations. Laminate these and get the children to update every time they start a new book!
Here is an editable printable for the IKEA wheel of fortune. I'm going to use it for whole class rewards! You can change yours up for whatever you would like!
First thing in the morning, children come into the classroom and put a named clothes peg onto the word that best describes their feeling. A perfect way to get the class talking about emotions.
I plan to use these to make marking more effective. During lessons I live mark, using this key so children can remember the targets I set them. They then make these corrections in purple pen. Much more purposeful and much less time consuming than writing comments that no-one reads!
We use this to ensure children are reading at home and at school every week.

100 Square Number Cards
100 Square Reward Board
Children choose a number from the number square and write their names on the back of the card. When the board is full, we run a random number generator and the winning numbers get a small prize! The hundred square hangers are available here
Get the class to choose 2 rewards, when each child scores a point they put a bead in the jar of the reward they most want. When the jar is full, it's party time!
A slide for every day of the academic year covering P.S.H.E, Citizenship, Relationships and getting children to think outside the box. I'm going to use these in the morning as children arrive and letting the respond freely in their journals using pictures, writing or discussion.
